From humble beginnings, F.D. Croce Company began manufacturing peanut bags in Manhattan in 1892. With the Croce family’s obsession with meeting customers’ needs the company expanded into produce cartons and moved into the Hudson Valley. It became increasingly difficult to get quality corrugated partitions needed for the produce boxes at a good price. Viking Industries was founded in 1973 to satisfy that need. Viking has always been family owned and operated so we are personally committed to doing every customers job right.

Responding to the changing needs of Vikings customer, Viking added equipment to produce corrugated boxes and die cuts as well. Vikings facilities have grown with additions in 1978, 1988, 1998 and 2006. Viking has always understood that packaging is a very cost sensitive product and continuously works to reduce costs. The obsession with meeting customer needs drives Viking to continue to invest in equipment and people that will expand capabilities and product offerings. In 2003 Viking cofounded Freedom Corrugated to ensure that our raw material source would meet our quality and service expectations. In 2008, Freedom expanded and installed a second corrugator. Owning the corrugators is a prime example of Viking's cost-reduction investments.

Viking now serves a wide range of industries. The common bond that Viking's customers share is they value a company that does it right and is accommodating to their needs. Viking delivers products when they say they are going to deliver. Viking stands behind the quality of their products. Viking makes it easy to place an order and track an order. Viking knows packaging is fundamental to the operation of their customers and they do not let them down.
